Islamic Sacred Pilgrimages

A TURBAN BELONGs TO HUZOOR NABI-E-KAREEM MUHAMMAD (PBUH)

The place of Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam ascended to the skies on Meraj

AT THE HEART OF JERUSALEM is the Noble Sanctuary, Al-Haram Al-Sharif, enclosing over 35 acres of fountains, gardens, buildings and domes. At its southernmost end is Al-Aqsa Mosque and at its centre the celebrated Dome of the Rock (Masjid As-Sakhra). The entire area is regarded as a mosque and comprises nearly one sixth of the walled city of Jerusalem. Al-Haram Al-Shareef (The Noble Sanctuary) is a quadrilateral that roughly resembles a trapezoid. The dimensions of this quadrilateral seem to differ from one source to another but the lowest values mentioned are about 280 meters along the South, about 310 meters along the North , about 460 meters along the East, and about 480 meters along the West. This gives it a surface area of about 138 thousand square meters, which is a little less than 35 acres. The average height above sea level on the platform is about 730 meters above sea level.

New Dubai 23-Seater Superbus Travels At 250km/h
A brand-new, fully electric superbus has been purchased to make traveling between Dubai and Abu-Dhabi more enjoyable. It is designed to be capable of driving 250 km/h whilst carrying 23 passengers! I believe the term “amazeballs” is appropriate here.

The Superbus concept is the work of an astronaut and a former Formula One aerodynamics expert. It was developed at the Delft University of Technology in Holland under the direction of Professor Wubbo Ockels, who in 1985 became the first Dutch citizen in space when he blasted off on board the space shuttle Challenger.
The midnight-blue bus travels at a top speed of 250 km/h, is 15 metres long, 2,5 metres wide and 1,65 metres high and has eight gullwing-style doors on each side.

It is made of lightweight materials including aluminium, carbon fibre, fibreglass and polycarbonate, and weighs just 9 500kg fully loaded. The vehicle would carry passengers in levels of comfort that the team says would be comparable to traveling in a luxury sedan.

The Life of A Google Employee

We know already that working for Google has certain advantages, but the search engine giant takes its employees welfare very seriously. Meals: Employees can consume all they want for free  from a wide range of foods and beverages. Workstation: Each employee has at least two large screens. Innovations: large tablets are available everywhere because “ideas do not come always when you sit at your desk,” says one of Google’s managers. Pool tables and video games are available in many places. On each floor there are private cabin areas where employees can participate in their private business. Technical Support: If employees have computer problems they  come to this place, and while it is repaired, the drinks are freely available. Health: Free professional massage. Relaxation: This room provides massage chairs that you control while you view relaxing aquariums. Ambience: There are many books in the library, even some about programming! For the third consecutive time, Google is the most powerful brand in the world, according to Millward Brown ranking.

Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas

Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is about a ship. For other uses, see Freedom of the Seas (disambiguation).
MS Freedom of the Seas is a cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International. It is the namesake of Royal Caribbean's Freedom class, and can accommodate 3,634 passengers and 1,300 crew[citation needed] on fifteen passenger decks. Freedom of the Seas was the largest passenger ship ever built (by gross tonnage) from 2006 until construction of the Royal Caribbean International's Oasis-class ships in late 2009.
Although the ship is registered in Nassau, The Bahamas, it is home ported in Port Canaveral, Florida, United States, after moving from the

An Entire House Made From Cloth

An Entire House Made From Cloth

The most amazing thing about this house is, you guessed it, that it’s made entirely out of cloth. You’ve got cloth walls, cloth kitchen-wear, cloth light switches, even a cloth toilet. The down-side is, you guessed again, nothing is usable. I mean, imagine using that cloth crapper…You’d have to burn that sucker down, and sew yourself a new one, not very practical.
Useless as it may be, this cloth house is pretty cool to look at, and that’s what art is all about…I think.

Bangalore Metro gets poor reviews from senior citizens

Bangalore:  The Metro has been literally engineered to be 'inhospitable' and 'unfriendly' to its commuters, alleged senior citizens' forums, underlining that the upcoming mass transit system has neither built-in any seating arrangements nor any medical facility on the station premises.

According to the complaint filed by the forums, Metro stations have absolutely no seating space and there are not medical facilities available either. At first glance, the Reach I Metro stations connecting MG Road to Byppanahalli, sure lives up to international standards. But a closer look would reveal the darker side of the sparkling stations.

According to sources, the major flaw at Metro stations is that very few commuters friendly facilities are available there. The soon to be inaugurated Reach I of the Metro has six stations on its 6.7-km stretch between MG Road and Byappanahalli. And each station can accommodate more than 40,000 passengers.
Unapologetic of its 'inhospitable behavior', the BMRCL has now announced that people unnecessarily waiting at the stations will be fined.
