Mona Lisa Portrait Made With 3,604 Cups of Coffee

The 3,604 cups of coffee were each filled with different amounts of milk to create the different shades!!

The Mona Lisa is definitely one of the most popular paintings ever done, and for quite a while, many different Mona Lisa remakes have been created, such as this fairly new one; it is a huge creation of the Da Vinci painting which was made with 3,604 coffee cups.

Seen at the Aroma Festival at the Rocks in Sydney earlier this year, this Coffee Mona Lisa is remarkable for its look and also the creative effort put forth. As one can easily see, the 3604 cups are not all the same shades of coffee, and of course they couldn’t be to create a painting with 2 or more colors. Still, it isn’t just 2 shades either, for it gets into the nitty gritty and mixes a different combination around…black coffee, light coffee, some latte, milk only, and whatever combos that were required. The end result is pretty extraordinary and could really be seen as an artform in itself, even if it recreates the infamous masterpiece of Leonardo.
I definitely take my hat off for the planning that this must have deserved: to analyze the different shades required exactly and their placement. Overall, a great remake of Mona Lisa but in the modern, coffee drinking world of today. Next we would need to see a remake of the Sistine Chapel with coffee.

Most Dangerous Plane Runways (Landing Strips) in World

The area is really beautiful! The wonderful blue & green landscapes, colors of emerald and kiwi. What you could do in such a splendid place? Summer’s approaching… and this is a very charming place for a holiday. Peace, quiet, lonely beaches, great place to dive; we hear only the birds… and some aircraft… Hmm, seeing this airports… maybe it’s still better to spend the holiday at home in the bath!

Hindu Mustaches

Collection of Hindu Mustaches

Mustaches are very popular in Hindu countries like India and I’m not talking the kind of “childish” mustache Brad Pit recently grew, but serious muffs you can wrap around your fingers. I wonder how these guys drink milk and yoghurt.

How To Make snake leather Handbag

Sickening Photos That Will Put You off Snakeskin Bags For Life

Designer snake skin handbags can sell for hundreds or even thousands of pounds, but as these sickening photos taken at a snake slaughterhouse in Indonesia show, their manufacture is far from glamorous.

Snakes are killed by the thousands and then skinned in ways that have been condemned as exceptionally cruel and outdated.
According to a Daily Mail report, snakes that have been stunned by a blow to the head are then filled with water from a hosepipe so that they inflate like a balloon. After ten minutes or so, the skin becomes loose enough to peel off the still-alive reptile, like removing a rubber glove.
The skins are then curled up and dried in an oven before being dyed and sent to a bag-making factory. The factory receives about £10 to £20 per bag, but their prices increase dramatically when they reach Western fashion houses.

Cappadocia – Upright volcano of Turkey

These somewhat interesting ‘mushroom’, like landforms are part of the volcanic landscape of Cappadocia, the ‘Land of Beautiful Horses’. Cappadocia lies in south eastern central Turkey, some 275 km south-east of Ankara.
This article should serve as an introduction to what is an exceedingly complex volcanic province and only ‘scratches the surface’ of what is in the locale.
The volcanism in the area and in southern Turkey in general, is associated with the Alpine front orogenic belt with the Afro-Arabian plate moving northwards and being subducted below, the Anatolian sub-plate of the main Euro-Asian plate; the Taurus mountains being the Alpine equivalent. The volcanism, which here began in the Miocene period about 18m years ago and as with most subduction zones, is predominantly of the calc-alkaline type, with arcuate volcanic features. In Cappadocia, the main volcanoes (out of 19 major and many other satellite monogenetic and maar vents) are Erciyes Dag (3916m), Hasan Dag (3253), Melendiz (2963m), Kegiboydoran and Develi; the former 2, being most recent, have had the most obvious effects on the landscape of the area.

Bora Bora Most Beautiful Island on the Planet

Bora – Unquestionably the most mythical of the Pacific islands remains the island of all dreams.

The legends, mysteries, and romance associated with the words “Bora Bora” bring an almost mystical presence to the island. The island, located about 230 kilometres northwest of Papeete, is surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef.

Bora Bora is predestined for snorkeling and scuba diving in and around its lagoon.

Made famous by books, movies, and its stunning beauty, the island is now besieged by tourism and overcrowding. Regardless, if you must visit a South Pacific island (and you should), Bora Bora would be an excellent choice.

Transparent Balcony on 103 Floor Skyscraper the Sears Tower, Chicago

Transparent Balcony on 103 Floor Skyscraper the Sears Tower, Chicago

Visitors to the Sears Tower in Chicago may find their hearts skipping a beat when they step out on this mid-air ledge. The tower’s latest attraction, called the Ledge, promises a walk on the high side with these new glass enclosures that extend 4.3 feet beyond the side of the building. Beneath peoples’ feet lies the sprawling Illinois city – 103 stories, or 1,353 feet, below.
Designed by SOM, the boxes, which are located on the tower’s west side, and are fully retractable to aid in window-washing, will extend out from the building’s facade. The balconies were added in 2009 to the famous observation floor. Each box is comprised of three layers of half-inch thick glass, and will hold about five tons, well beyond their expected capacity.
Just an inch-and-a-half of glass separates the visitor from the street underneath. The attraction is due to open in June. It is part of a multi-million dollar renovation of the tower – America’s tallest building. For sure it’s not for everyone!  If you are visiting Chicago now you will just have to go and see this modern spectacle.
All of you who have been there do give us your personal impression of standing in mid air. Must be an incredible experience to stand hundreds of feet above Chicago and look out over the city!

World’s longest Necks

Now this is what I call stretching it!
The women of the Padaung tribe in northern Thailand hold the record for the longest necks in the world. According to tribal custom, even before they reach puberty, girls must start wearing iron coils around their necks and more and more are added through the years. The Padaung women say they only feel initial discomfort, as the distance between the ear lobe and the collar bone is stretched to 10 inches, double the average.
Although only girls born on a Wednesday of a full moon, were meant to wear the coils, to please the ever-growing tourist masses, other young girls are used as well.
The longest recorded neck reached 40 cm in length.
