The Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library
The Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library is the largest building in the world dedicated to the containment and preservation of rare books, manuscripts, and documents. It was designed by Gordon Bunshaft of Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill and is located in New Haven, Connecticut. Situated on Yale University's Hewitt Quadrangle, the building was designed by Gordon Bunshaft of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and completed in 1963. Established by a gift of the Beinecke family and given its own endowment, the library is financially independent from the university and is co-governed by the University Library and Yale Corporation. The library's iconic building is scheduled to close for major renovation following Yale University’s commencement ceremonies in May 2015. The renovation will replace the building's mechanical systems and expand its research, teaching, storage, and exhibition capabilities, and should be complete in September 2016. A temporary reading room in Yale's Sterling Memorial Library will provide researchers access to the library’s collections during the renovation.

The place of Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam ascended to the skies on Meraj
AT THE HEART OF JERUSALEM is the Noble Sanctuary, Al-Haram Al-Sharif,
enclosing over 35 acres of fountains, gardens, buildings and domes.
At its southernmost end is Al-Aqsa Mosque and at its centre the
celebrated Dome of the Rock (Masjid As-Sakhra). The entire area is
regarded as a mosque and comprises nearly one sixth of the walled
city of Jerusalem. Al-Haram Al-Shareef (The Noble Sanctuary) is a
quadrilateral that roughly resembles a trapezoid. The dimensions of
this quadrilateral seem to differ from one source to another but the
lowest values mentioned are about 280 meters along the South, about
310 meters along the North , about 460 meters along the East, and about
480 meters along the West. This gives it a surface area of about 138
thousand square meters, which is a little less than 35 acres. The
average height above sea level on the platform is about 730 meters
above sea level.
Name of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Written on Mountains (Really Amazing)
Brother Shahid (comment on Jabal Uhud make over)
was blessed to be in Madinatun Nabi recently when he was told by his
guide that the word ‘Muhammad’ appears as part of the geographical
feature on the aerial perspective of Jabal Uhud…and Allahu ‘Alum…and
regardless of whether one can discern the noble name ‘Muhammad’, or even
‘Allah’ as some have also said, Jabal Uhud is positioned over one of
the gates of Jannah, SubhanAllah, and as Rasulullah SallAllahu alaihi
wasallam said, Jabal Uhud loves us and we love it…and as previously written ‘Babul Jannat in its noble grandeur emanates such a glow (see Jabal Uhud glowing in these photos)
and love’…and it is the mountain that trembled when the Prophet
SallAllahu alaihi wasallam, Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman RadhiAllahu anhum
stood on it…the presence of the Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam, the
Siddiq, and two martyrs overwhelming it…such beauty Allah Ta’ala has
bestowed upon this Radiant City…such profound love He has for this small
area within His vast Universe…such a blessing to look upon it, whether
in reality or through photos…may the heart swoon not matter how we may
contemplate its grandeur…Monday, 29 December 2014

understood looking at her fingers on the photos. How I wish I had a
house on my back, so I could be home whenever I am away! This delightful
doll house is by another Russian artist. The details are exceptional!
There is tea waiting inside, clothes hanging in the closet, a delightful
sun porch and even a tiny back door!!! Please come and stay awhile!
It’s really amazing.

Mythbusting 'the place where two oceans meet' in the Gulf of Alaska
A picture from the Gulf of Alaska that has been making the rounds on the Internet for the last few years -- though particularly in recent weeks -- shows a strange natural phenomenon that occurs when heavy, sediment-laden water from glacial valleys and rivers pours into the open ocean. There in the gulf, the two types of water run into each other, a light, almost electric blue merging with a darker slate-blue.
Informally dubbed “the place where two oceans meet,” the explanation for the photo is a simple one, though there are many misconceptions about it, including that catchy title. In particular on popular link-sharing website Reddit, where users have on multiple occasions erroneously attributed the photo’s location as “Where the Baltic and North Sea meet” and the two types of water as being completely incapable of ever mixing, instead perpetually butting against each other like a boundary on a map.
Mona Lisa Portrait Made With 3,604 Cups of Coffee
The 3,604 cups of coffee were each filled with different amounts of milk to create the different shades!!
The Mona Lisa is definitely one of the most popular paintings ever done,
and for quite a while, many different Mona Lisa remakes have been
created, such as this fairly new one; it is a huge creation of the Da
Vinci painting which was made with 3,604 coffee cups.
Seen at the Aroma Festival at the Rocks in Sydney earlier this year,
this Coffee Mona Lisa is remarkable for its look and also the creative
effort put forth. As one can easily see, the 3604 cups are not all the
same shades of coffee, and of course they couldnât be to create a
painting with 2 or more colors. Still, it isnât just 2 shades either,
for it gets into the nitty gritty and mixes a different combination
aroundâ¦black coffee, light coffee, some latte, milk only, and whatever
combos that were required. The end result is pretty extraordinary and
could really be seen as an artform in itself, even if it recreates the
infamous masterpiece of Leonardo.
I definitely take my hat off for the planning that this must have
deserved: to analyze the different shades required exactly and their
placement. Overall, a great remake of Mona Lisa but in the modern,
coffee drinking world of today. Next we would need to see a remake of
the Sistine Chapel with coffee.
Most Dangerous Plane Runways (Landing Strips) in World
The area is really beautiful! The wonderful
blue & green landscapes, colors of emerald and kiwi. What you could
do in such a splendid place? Summer’s approaching… and this is a very
charming place for a holiday. Peace, quiet, lonely beaches, great place
to dive; we hear only the birds… and some aircraft… Hmm, seeing this
airports… maybe it’s still better to spend the holiday at home in the
bath!
