Jabuticaba: fruits growing straight from the trunk
Jabuticaba (aka Brazilian Grape Tree) is a totally unique fruit tree. Its fruits are unusual as they grow on the trunk and branches of the tree instead of on stems. The tree may even look covered in purple warts or pimples when it is fully in season. It is often used in its native lands in South America much like grapes are used elsewhere.
